Mauritius experiences a warm tropical marine climate all year. The climate is subtropical. Temperature differences between seasons are minimal. The weather is usually pleasant and clear. This country has two distinct seasons. From November to April, the summer is usually warm and humid, while from June to September, the winter is quite cold and dry. October and May are widely recognised as transitional months.
The hottest months are January and February, with an average daily maximum temperature of 29.2 °C, while July and August are the coolest, with an average overnight low temperature of 16.4 °C.
Summer temperatures on the coast (November to April) average 27°C, whereas in the central highlands they average 22°C.
Winter temperatures (May to October) are around 22°C along the shore and 19°C on the middle plateau.
The warmest months are December, January, and February, with average temperatures of 27–28 °C.
July is considered the coldest month of the year, with average temperatures ranging from 20 to 21 °C.
