Dolphins are one of the most amazing animals that can be found in the ocean. Dolphins are a happy and playful symbol of intellect and grace. Dolphins live in pods of 20 or more individuals and can be seen swimming casually from Tamarin. (On the west coast of Mauritius).
Early in the morning, they were on their journey to the deep sea off the coast of the Morne peninsula. The Bottlenose Dolphin and the Spinner Dolphin have arrived on the West Coast. It is a spot for them to rest and sleep before venturing out into the deep sea to fish.
One of the most prevalent and well-known dolphins is the Bottlenose Dolphin. Bottlenose Dolphins are grey in appearance and range in length from 2 to 4 meters (6.6 to 13 feet) and weight from 150 to 650 kilograms. (330 and 1,400 lb). Bottlenose Dolphins live in pods, which are usually made up of 15 dolphins. It is also possible to come across parties of more than 100 or, on rare occasions, groups of over 1000 dolphins. Their primary source of nutrition is small fish.
The Spinner Dolphin is dark gray in color, with darker patches on its tail stock, back, and neck. The belly usually has a creamy-white patch, but this differs greatly. The beak is particularly long and narrow, with a black tip. The flippers are also unusually long for a dolphin of this size. Adults’ sizes ranged from 129 cm to 235 cm, and their weights ranged from 23 kg to 78 kg. The pregnancy lasts 10 months. Individuals achieve maturity at the ages of 4-7 years (females) and 7-10 years (males). (Males). Longevity is a mystery. Spinner dolphins congregate in groups ranging from a few dolphins to large schools totaling in the thousands.
