Eureka house also known as (Casa Eureka) stands about 4 km from Le Reduit, on the other side of the Port Louis- Curepipe motorway, just off the road of moka in Mauritius. This colonial country house Eureka, lying under Montagne Ory, was restores and opened to the public in 1986 as a museum.
The Eureka house dates from the first half of the nineteenth century. 1 km west of Moka, Eureka home has preserved its genuine features both inside and out, with the backdrop of mountain Le Pouce.
Eureka the creole House is ancient colonial house build in 1830 in the middle of a beautiful park delimited by the waterfalls of the Riviere of Moka; the hearth of Mauritius.
The magnificent Eureka colonial estate house contains antique furniture of different periods and has more than 100 doors and windows. It is situated in a five acre estate, which includes an Andrenium garden and a ‘table d’hôte’ serving Creole and local dishes.
